Plot
After years in New York, 14-year-old Autumn returns to the Amazon rainforest to save her childhood village and her beloved jaguar friend. A spiritual remake of Gilles de Maistre’s earlier film Mia i bijeli lav (2018), this is a sweet family film that will appeal to younger girls. There’s not much going on for parents. The plot is predictable and the moral of the story is kind of forced on you, but I have to be honest: it was a lot of fun to watch with our 6-year-old daughter. The film has almost all the trappings of a family film: over-the-top adults, overly smart kid roles, weak plot, easily survivable deadly situations, and so on. But the main character is well-played. The role of the goofy teacher isn’t believable (what is she doing out there in the jungle?), but it’s still very well-filled. And if you like some jungle scenes with waterfalls, you won’t be disappointed.
